Zoolander 2 starts with moderate promise but quickly deteriorates as it abandons the fashion industry satire that made the original work. While Kristen Wiig's performance provides occasional highlights, most reviewers found the sequel unfunny, overly reliant on celebrity cameos, and burdened by a convoluted spy plot that missed the clever simplicity of its predecessor.
