Red Sonja

Red Sonja struggles with cheap production values and predictable plotting throughout most of its runtime, but finds occasional redemption in strong villain performances and a few elevated story beats. The film consistently disappoints fans of the source material while offering just enough competent moments to avoid complete disaster. Critics consistently praised the antagonists while finding the title character and overall execution lacking in the spirit and energy the franchise deserves.
