Biggest Swing

The film peaks with Hoffa's masterfully executed murder scene, then drops significantly as it lingers on Frank's lonely final years

The Irishman builds steadily to a universally praised climax with Hoffa's death, representing peak Scorsese filmmaking. However, the extended runtime becomes problematic in the final act, with many critics feeling the contemplative ending drags on too long despite its thematic significance.
