Wolf Man
With his marriage fraying, Blake persuades his wife Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit his remote childhood home in rural Oregon. As they arrive at the farmhouse in the dead of night, they're attacked by an unseen animal and barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. But as the night stretches on, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable.
Critics Sentiment
Young Blake spots mysterious creature during hunting trip with Grady
Blake's family travels to inherited farmhouse in remote Oregon
The film drops significantly from its praised opening to tedious setup scenes, then gradually recovers through the transformation sequences.
Wolf Man starts strong with an excellent prologue but stumbles through lengthy, dull character introductions before finding its footing in the confined horror setting. The gradual transformation and body horror elements earn praise, though the overall execution feels safe and predictable. Critics appreciated the emotional ending but felt the film missed opportunities to be truly memorable.
