Jesse, Hector and Marisol try ritual from spellbook
Jesse pushes grandmother downstairs then gets kidnapped for ritual
The film drops significantly from its comedic, character-driven opening to become a generic possession story that loses its early charm.
The film starts strong with authentic characters and humor that reviewers genuinely enjoyed, but gradually loses steam as it falls into familiar franchise patterns. While the ending polarized audiences, the middle section dragged considerably, making the overall experience feel like a missed opportunity despite its promising beginning.
