Bloodlines starts exceptionally strong with a universally praised opening disaster sequence, then settles into character development before building to increasingly creative and brutal deaths. The film maintains solid quality throughout with particular peaks during the major death sequences and Tony Todd's final appearance, though some reviewers noted pacing issues in the final act.
