Ghost Ship
After discovering a passenger ship missing since 1962 floating adrift on the Bering Sea, salvagers claim the vessel as their own. Once they begin towing the ghost ship towards harbor, a series of bizarre occurrences happen and the group becomes trapped inside the ship, which they soon learn is inhabited by a demonic creature.

The film plummets from its spectacular opening massacre (9.2) to mediocre character introductions (4.8), a drop of 4.4 points that reviewers consistently noted as the moment promise turned to disappointment.
Ghost Ship opens with what multiple critics called one of the greatest horror scenes ever filmed, earning universal praise for its brutal effectiveness. Unfortunately, the film immediately crashes after this peak, suffering from weak character development, predictable plot progression, and a lack of genuine scares. While some appreciated the impressive production design and a few effective moments with Katie the ghost girl, most found it a generic haunted house movie that squandered its potential after the memorable opening.
