Abigail transforms into a vampire and reveals her true nature
Lambert reveals he works for Abigail and has been a vampire
The film peaks with Abigail's vampire transformation then drops significantly during the exposition-heavy Lambert betrayal sequence
Abigail starts strong with an engaging kidnapping premise and builds to an acclaimed vampire reveal that showcases Alisha Weir's standout performance. The film stumbles in its middle act with predictable exposition and familiar horror beats before recovering with entertaining gore and Dan Stevens' villainous turn. While critics praised the cast performances and stylish direction, many felt the film's potential was undermined by trailer spoilers and a somewhat anticlimactic ending.
