Child's Play 3 struggles with formulaic plotting and annoying characters in its first half, particularly around the military school setup. However, the film finds its footing with creative kills like the live ammunition twist and reaches its peak with the universally praised carnival funhouse climax. While never achieving the heights of the original films, it provides enough entertainment value to satisfy franchise fans despite its obvious flaws.
