Rachel confronts Mark by shoving pie in his face
Rachel struggles adapting to Washington political society
The dramatic rise from Rachel's mundane housewife struggles to the cathartic pie-in-face confrontation
The film maintains a steady but unremarkable pace through most of its runtime, with critics finding the early romance unconvincing and the middle sections slow. The clear highlight is the climactic confrontation scene, which reviewers universally praised as earned and satisfying, elevating an otherwise middling marital drama.
