Game of Death suffers through its first hour with terrible editing tricks, obvious doubles, and exploitative use of Bruce Lee's death, hitting rock bottom with real funeral footage. However, the film redeems itself in the final act when genuine Bruce Lee fight footage appears, culminating in the universally praised battle with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar that critics called spectacular.
