The Legend of Zorro
Despite trying to keep his swashbuckling to a minimum, a threat to California's pending statehood causes the adventure-loving Don Alejandro de la Vega and his wife, Elena, to take action.

Zorro fights Armand on explosive train while Elena battles Ferroq
Alejandro and Elena fight about Zorro, she divorces him
The film recovers strongly from its lowest point at the divorce subplot to reach its peak during the spectacular train fight climax.
The Legend of Zorro delivers solid swashbuckling entertainment but struggles with tonal inconsistencies and a convoluted plot involving secret societies. While the action sequences, particularly the train climax, satisfy audiences and the leads maintain their charm, the film never quite recaptures the magic of its predecessor. The divorce subplot and historical inaccuracies drag down the middle sections, but family themes and spectacular stunts provide enough momentum for an ultimately satisfying adventure.
