Lost in Space
The prospects for continuing life on Earth in the year 2058 are grim. So the Robinsons are launched into space to colonize Alpha Prime, the only other inhabitable planet in the galaxy. But when a stowaway sabotages the mission, the Robinsons find themselves hurtling through uncharted space.

The film starts promisingly with Gary Oldman's Dr. Smith performance but collapses during the convoluted time travel and transformation sequences in the final act.
Lost in Space begins with solid promise, featuring decent production values and Gary Oldman's praised performance as Dr. Smith, but gradually deteriorates as reviewers found the plot increasingly convoluted. The film's biggest misstep comes in the final act with poorly received time travel elements and the controversial decision not to cast Bill Mumy as future Will Robinson. Despite some good performances from unexpected sources like Matt LeBlanc, the movie ultimately suffers from an overstuffed script and underwhelming special effects.
