Christmas Is Canceled follows a predictable but uneven arc that struggles with an intensely unlikeable protagonist whose childish behavior alienates viewers throughout most of the runtime. While some reviewers found moments of humor and appreciated the film's bonkers energy, the majority were put off by the creepy premise and Emma's unbelievably immature antics. The film recovers slightly in its final act with typical rom-com resolution, but never fully overcomes its fundamental character and tonal problems.
