Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Set during the Cold War, the Soviets—led by sword-wielding Irina Spalko—are in search of a crystal skull which has supernatural powers related to a mystical Lost City of Gold. Indy is coerced to head to Peru at the behest of a young man whose friend—and Indy's colleague—Professor Oxley has been captured for his knowledge of the skull's whereabouts.

Jones survives atomic bomb test in lead lined refrigerator
The film drops sharply from the Soviet setup to the widely-mocked nuclear refrigerator sequence, then gradually recovers through traditional chase and adventure elements.
The film starts promisingly with Cold War intrigue and Cate Blanchett's praised villainy, but suffers a major credibility blow with the nuclear refrigerator sequence that reviewers found cartoonish. While it recovers somewhat through classic chase sequences and archaeological adventure, the overuse of CGI and alien elements ultimately disappointed many fans who expected the grounded thrills of the original trilogy.
