The Darjeeling Limited
Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. Their "spiritual quest", however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray).

Brothers attempt to rescue three boys from the river
Brothers are ejected from train after receiving mother's letter
The film dramatically shifts from its lowest point when the brothers are ejected from the train to its emotional peak during the tragic river rescue sequence.
The Darjeeling Limited starts strong with Anderson's trademark visual flair and humor, dips in the middle as the spiritual journey concept feels hollow, then soars during the tragic river rescue sequence that provides genuine emotional depth. Critics consistently praised the film's visual beauty and the river tragedy as transcendent, while finding the middle sections less focused and the cultural portrayal occasionally problematic.
