Fletcher pitches his Bush screenplay to Raymond
The film builds from a deliberately paced opening to explosive action when Rosalind is threatened, marking the transition from setup to high-stakes conflict.
Critics praised The Gentlemen as Guy Ritchie's successful return to form, with particular acclaim for Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant's standout performances. The film builds steadily from its unique narrative framing device to increasingly engaging action sequences. While some found the opening slower-paced, most reviewers celebrated it as Ritchie's best work since his early crime classics.
