Review Sentiment
Jerico bonds with Pope's daughter Emma at home
Heimdahl creates airport distraction while Elsa attacks Jerico
The film rebounds from its weakest middle section during the airport sequence to emotional highs when Jerico bonds with Emma
Criminal starts strong with an intriguing premise and intense opening, but suffers from pacing issues and repetitive sequences in its middle act. The film recovers through Costner's committed performance and emotional character development, building to a satisfying if predictable climax that reviewers found entertaining despite its flaws.
