Hoggett recovers and tells Babe That'll do Pig
Babe reluctantly joins clown act which ends in disaster
The film recovers significantly in its final act, rising from the disturbing clown sequence (4.2) to the emotionally satisfying farm return and classic ending (8.1).
Critics found this sequel to be a jarring departure from the original's warmth, with many disturbed by its dark urban setting, mean-spirited tone, and unsettling imagery of animals in distress. While acknowledging impressive visual effects and stuntwork, most reviewers felt the film lost the gentle charm that made the first Babe beloved. The return to familiar farm territory in the finale provided some redemption, but couldn't fully overcome the chaotic middle section.
