Security guard Paul Blart is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist - and it's up to Blart to apprehend the criminals.

The film's biggest positive swing comes with the bird fight scene, jumping from the contrived keynote speaker setup to what critics unanimously called the funniest moment.
Critics found Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 to be a largely unfunny and cynical cash grab that started poorly with forced exposition and dark humor. The film improved somewhat in its second half with better physical comedy and action sequences, particularly the memorable bird fight scene.
