Henry tracks down the couple to reveal Sarah's terminal illness

Biggest Swing

The revelation of Sarah's terminal illness creates the biggest emotional drop from the passionate reconciliation to devastating tragedy

The film opens strongly with passionate chemistry between the leads and builds to a powerful climax around the bombing incident that changes everything. While critics consistently praised the performances and emotional depth, some found the religious themes outdated and the pacing uneven, leading to a respectfully received but not universally beloved adaptation.
