Stone Cold delivers exactly what early 90s action fans expected, with competent pacing building toward an entertainingly over-the-top finale. While Bosworth's acting limitations and formulaic plotting drag down the middle sections, Lance Henriksen's villain performance and the increasingly ridiculous action sequences win over viewers. The courthouse climax transforms a mediocre genre exercise into memorably fun schlock.
