Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
When diabolical genius Dr. Evil travels back in time to steal superspy Austin Powers's ‘mojo,’ Austin must return to the swingin' '60s himself - with the help of American agent, Felicity Shagwell - to stop the dastardly plan. Once there, Austin faces off against Dr. Evil's army of minions to try to save the world in his own unbelievably groovy way.
Critics Sentiment
Dr. Evil and Scott appear on The Jerry Springer Show
Felicity has sex with Fat Bastard to plant homing device
The film peaks early with the Jerry Springer Show sequence then gradually declines through the middle act, hitting its lowest point during the Fat Bastard gross-out sequences.
The film starts strong with memorable comedic moments like the Jerry Springer Show and Mini Me's introduction that reviewers universally praised. However, it struggles in the middle with gross-out humor involving Fat Bastard that many found unnecessary and unfunny. While it recovers somewhat for the climax, most reviewers felt it recycled too many jokes from the original and relied too heavily on scatological humor rather than the wit of the first film.
