Viola reads Todd's mother's diary revealing the truth about women
Aaron drowns Manchee during Todd and Viola's boat escape
The film drops sharply from the emotional high of the diary revelation to the devastating low of Manchee's death, a 3.3 point swing that represents the story's darkest turn.
Chaos Walking maintains a generally positive but uneven reception, starting strong with its unique premise and Tom Holland/Daisy Ridley chemistry before becoming more repetitive in the middle act. The film peaks with emotional character revelations but suffers from a rushed ending and unexplored potential, landing as competent but ultimately forgettable sci-fi.
