Cooties starts with a revolting opening that turns viewers off, then struggles through weak character establishment before finding its groove once the zombie children premise kicks in. The middle section drags with too much dialogue in barricaded rooms, but the film recovers with entertaining action sequences and gore in the final act, leaving audiences moderately satisfied despite its flaws.
