During the run of a particularly awful interpretation of Richard III, the star, Anthony O'Malley, begins to frequent a rough pub to develop his character. He meets Barreller who he discovers owes someone he's never met a considerable sum of money. Seeing an opportunity to make some fast money, O'Malley convinces hapless extra, Tom, to meet Barreller as the debt collector.

Peak Moment

Tom successfully collects the fifty thousand pounds from Barreller

7.2at 36m
Lowest Moment

Tom's excessive performances become too much to watch

4.2at 1h 02m
Biggest Swing

The film peaks during Tom's successful money collection then drops significantly when his excessive performances become too cringe-worthy to watch

The film starts slowly with mixed reception but builds to its strongest moments during the central con sequence, particularly when Tom's impersonations and the money collection succeed. However, it stumbles in the middle act when Dylan Moran's performance becomes excessive and embarrassing, before recovering somewhat for a decent conclusion that balances consequences with the film's lighthearted tone.
