A group of friends pays a late-night visit to the city morgue to surprise Amy on her birthday. But the surprise is on them when the one-eyed corpse of brutal psychopath Jacob Goodnight unexpectedly rises from a cold sub-basement slab, turning their wild party into a terrifying slay-fest.

The film peaks when Jacob comes back to life and begins his killing spree, then steadily declines through the middle act as critics found the escape sequences illogical and poorly executed.
See No Evil 2 starts promisingly with strong performances from Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle, building decent tension in the morgue setting. However, the film struggles through a weak middle act plagued by logical inconsistencies and bland kills before recovering slightly with its memorable eye-gouging finale. Critics appreciated the cast but found the film a disappointing follow-up that lacked the creative gore and fun of its predecessor.
