Mortal Kombat
For nine generations an evil sorcerer has been victorious in hand-to-hand battle against his mortal enemies. If he wins a tenth Mortal Kombat tournament, desolation and evil will reign over the multiverse forever. To save Earth, three warriors must overcome seemingly insurmountable odds, their own inner demons, and superhuman foes.

Mortal Kombat maintains steady audience approval throughout most of its runtime, with particular highs during the memorable fight sequences between franchise favorites. The film suffers its biggest dip when ambitious special effects fail to deliver, but recovers with strong villain performances and faithful game adaptations that pleased fans despite the PG-13 limitations.
