Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI
Tommy Jarvis, tormented by the fear that maybe Jason isn't really dead, unwittingly resurrects the mass murderer for another bloody rampage.
Review Sentiment
Tommy Jarvis accidentally resurrects Jason with lightning
New camp counselors arrive at renamed Camp Forest Green
The film drops from the praised opening resurrection sequence to the familiar and less engaging setup of introducing new camp counselor victims.
Critics viewed Jason Lives as a successful return to form after the disappointing fifth film, praising its creative kills, atmospheric direction, and self-aware humor. While some found the comedy elements too goofy and the characters occasionally wooden, most appreciated the supernatural zombie Jason and memorable visual sequences. The film struck an effective balance between horror and humor that entertained fans despite its familiar formula.
