Gloria finds Suzu at Saucedo's party and discovers Lino's betrayal
Gloria commits a car bombing as initiation for Las Estrellas
The film peaks when Gloria discovers Lino's betrayal at the party, then drops significantly during the poorly directed final shootout sequence.
Miss Bala maintains a generally positive but uneven reception throughout its runtime, with critics praising Gina Rodriguez's performance and the moral complexity of Gloria's situation. The film peaks during its dramatic revelation sequence but suffers from criticized action choreography and an overly convenient ending that sets up sequels.
